KOCHI, Japan - Tosashimizu, a coastal city famed for the rich fish stock around Cape Ashizuri on the southwestern tip of Shikoku, has built a research-plus-hotel facility for marine biology researchers as part of the city's efforts to attract visitors and boost the local economy. The city spent 40 million yen for the two-story facility located in Iburi port, which is also home to a research laboratory operated by the Osaka aquarium Kaiyukan.
